What: Halo: Reach Free-For-All Tournament
When: Saturday, October 2nd; 5:00pm
Tournament Starts at 5:45pm
Where: UC McKenna (2nd Floor, by Skibo)
So how much schoolwork have you gotten done in the past week? Probably none, since you've been playing Halo: Reach, right? I don't blame you, it's a really fun game. Hey, do you wanna win a free Halo: Reach Wireless Controller with which to pwn n00bs? Of course you do, because the thing looks awesome.
Tell you what, we're giving one of those away (along with a token for a Banshee Aircraft Avatar Item, and a couple of other surprises!) at our tournament, so you could get one just by doing what you've been doing all week (playing Halo). Sounds like a good deal, right? A small $5 entry-fee is all we ask (and since the controller is worth $60, that's a pretty good deal). The winner of the tournament gets the controller, and we're gonna raffle off the Banshee Aircraft Avatar Item (and other surprises) amongst the remaining entrants (place better for more raffle tickets). Did you know that you can't even buy that avatar item on Xbox Live? You'll be the envy of all your friends with one of those things!
Oh, and even if you don't wanna compete, we're still gonna have free-play for Halo: Reach (and some Smash Bros. off to the side) before and after the tournament. You'll be able to make new friends, stick plasma grenades to rivals, and form teams for future Halo: Reach tournaments! Oh yeah, if you think that the controller we're giving away is sweet, remember that if this event gets enough attendance, the prizes at our next Halo: Reach event are just gonna blow you away!
RULES
The tournament will be divided into "blocks", with each block containing sixteen or fewer payers. Each block will go through the following:
The final round will be between all of the finalists (assuming 6 or less finalists) and it will go to 50 kills. The winning order of this game determines what the player’s final place will be in the tournament. If there were more than 6 finalists, numbers will be culled in a similar manner to the above blocks.
