What: A singles tournament for Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl
When: Saturday, October 1, from 1:30PM to 6:30PM
Where: UC Connan
Hey guys, as per the vote, we're going to be holding a Super Smash Bros. tournament this Saturday! But if you didn't vote for it, don't worry. Tied for second were fighting games and FPSes, and since we've had a large number of fighters at the last two events, we're going to have two setups reserved for FPS gameplay this Saturday. And of course, we'll have space for laptops like always. So if you play Halo, Call of Duty, TF2, Counterstrike, League of Legends, or Starcraft 2, come on down!
As always, we'll have prizes! Depending on your placement in the tournaments, you'll get some number of raffle tickets, in addition to 1 just for showing up to the event. If you bring a GameCube controller for others to use, then you'll get another ticket, and if you post in this thread saying that you're coming, you'll get yet another ticket!
Detailed rules can be found at the links below. Some of the terminology is a bit needlessly confusing, so you can just ask any of the OGS officers (we'll be wearing our OGS shirts) for clarification.
Good luck, and hope to see you there!
Rules
Melee - http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=257229
Brawl - http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=301032
Note: Since this is a casual university tournament, some of the more "professional" rules are obviously going to be relaxed; for example, the no-coaching-during-matches rule, the intentional forfeit rule (if you need to leave, feel free, just tell us so we know!), etc. Just take it easy and have some fun. If you've got any questions or confusion about the rules, just ask.
