What: A PC-game LAN party with tournaments and prizes
When: Saturday, March 19th starting at 12:00PM
Where: University Center Conan Room
We've heard the cries. There's been fighting games, rhythm games, party games, shooting games, even a game about stuffing mice into rocket ships... but they've all been on a console! Where's the love? Well OGS does an annual mega-sized LAN party, where we give you guys hundreds of dollars worth of food and computer equipment. But is just once a year enough? Apparently not!
That's why we're giving you a second LAN party, creatively (and redundantly) called our LAN Party Fiesta. There won't be free food this time, but there will still be prizes. This weekend, join us in the UC for some open PC-gaming competition. "Open gaming" means we play whatever you guys want to play, but if you want a tournament for your game, then you've gotta tell us here on the forums. Tournaments = Prizes!
We've got the power, we've got the Ethernet cables, and we've got the switches/hubs/whatever necessary to make the party a real LAN party. All you need to bring is your computer, and your games (and your friends who like those games). So if you're a fan of Starcraft II, Team Fortress 2, Defense of the Ancients, League of Legends, Counter Strike, or any other PC-game, you owe it to yourself to stop by UC this Saturday.
Oh, and because we all love it, we're also gonna have some Marvel vs. Capcom 3 to the side. Just because we can.
