What: A hardcore tournament with your favorite shooters!
When: Saturday, April 9th starting at 2:00PM
Where: University Center Danforth Lounge
That's right, it's tournaments and prizes in your favorite shooters. Aside from the return of the Halo: Reach Lone Wolves tournament, we'll be doing team tournaments this time too! Our games are going to be Halo: Reach and Call of Duty: Black Ops, the world's two most popular shooters. However, if we get some game-requests right here in this thread (even PC games), then we'll add them to the lineup!
The free-for-all tournament rules are posted below. Halo: Reach will also have a Doubles tournament, and Call of Duty: Black Ops will have a full-on Team Deathmatch tournament going for it. Both team-tournaments will be run as you'd expect. Be sure to bring some teammates, or you'll be randomly assigned as team-filler.
And of course, there's going to be a lot of prizes, including 12-month Xbox LIVE Gold subscriptions, thousands of Microsoft Points, and free video games! Most of them will be raffled off, but there will be specific prizes for top finishers as well. Be sure to RSVP here for a free raffle ticket just for coming. As usual, bringing setups (displays, 360s, etc) will also net you raffle tickets.
FREE-FOR-ALL TOURNAMENT RULES
The free-for-all tournament will be divided into "blocks", with each block containing sixteen or fewer payers. Each block will go through the following:
The final round will be between all of the finalists (assuming 6 or less finalists) and it will go to 50 kills. The winning order of this game determines what the player’s final place will be in the tournament. If there were more than 6 finalists, numbers will be culled in a similar manner to the above blocks.
